i think it’s easy for us, as humans, to hold onto the hard. the hurt. the pain. it’s easy to be swallowed up by it and to see nothing but the tears in our own eyes and the eyes of others.
i’m challenging myself to look for the good moments that God gives us, and no matter how long it takes to find them, hold onto those instead.
i wanted to challenge you too. let’s search for the lights of His glory. and even if our hands bleed from holding on, let’s never let go of Hope.
we’ve had today
if tomorrow arrives black and dreary,
if it comes like bad tidings on wings,
if sadness shall darken it’s sunrise,
if toil and hardship it brings,
if tomorrow holds sorrow and suffering,
if want and loss come in its wake,
if it steps in with dismal forebodings,
if it ushers in anguish and ache…
then let us remember this sunset,
and never forget this one kiss.
let us remember this blessing.
let’s call back this moment of bliss.
for only God sees our tomorrow
and nothing that we do or say,
could ever change what it will bring us,
so remember we have had today.-the poet under the sidewalk-
the good is there. let’s find it. : )
